South Korean authorities are searching for the arrest of Do Kwon, co-founder and main govt officer of Terraform Labs. His corporation is driving the now-collapsed terraUSD and luna cryptocurrencies. South Korean prosecutors are now seeking to freeze bitcoin connected to Kwon.

South Korean authorities sought Kwon’s arrest this month and claimed he is on the operate. The prosecutors said that Interpol, the world-wide policing business, has issued a “Crimson Detect” for Kwon. These types of notices are issued for fugitives desired either for prosecution or to provide a sentence.
Kwon, even so, insists he is not on the operate and claimed Tuesday on Twitter that he is “generating zero exertion to hide.” The crypto founder promises he goes on walks and is in his dwelling space coding.
The Seoul Southern District prosecutors workplace declined to remark on how they recognized that the bitcoin is linked to Kwon.
But investigate from analytics system CryptoQuant implies that the Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) set up a digital wallet on Sept. 15 and despatched 3,310 bitcoin to KuCoin and OKX. The Luna Basis Guard is a non-financial gain aimed at advertising the blockchain Terra, created by Kwon’s enterprise Terraform Labs.
The LFG responded on Tuesday stating it had not created any new wallets, or moved bitcoin or other electronic currencies all over because May 2022. It also posted its wallet deal with on Twitter.
But CryptoQuant replied: “Which is the general public a single,” suggesting the Luna Basis Guard has yet another wallet tackle not explicitly connected to the nonprofit.
Kwon also refuted the claims of bitcoin currently being moved.
He stated on Twitter that there was no attempt to “cashout” and that he is not employed KuCoin or OKX in “at the very least the previous year.” He extra that no funds of Terraform Labs, LFG or other entites have been frozen.
KuCoin explained to CNBC on Wednesday that it is “ready to cooperate with any international law enforcement organizations when it comes to circumstances of investigations pertaining to the origin and freezing of suspected assets.”
It extra that in relation to Kwon and the request by South Korean prosecutors to freeze resources linked to the crypto founder, “we would like you to to start with deal with the challenge to any linked authorities and clarify their stance pertaining to the issue.”
CNBC instructed KuCoin it experienced now spoken to authorities. A KuCoin spokesperson claimed the organization “are unable to disclose any information in order not to interfere with the situation.”
OKX has not but responded to a request for comment.
