Despite the government’s existing complications, Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman insists the funds will at some point be handed.


As the governing administration coalition totters on the brink of collapse, Israel’s Minister of Finance Avigdor Liberman declared past evening that he is suspending discussions on the 2023 finances. He told Channel 12 Information, “I spoke with the primary minister and we made a decision that for the instant we are postponing the budget conversations in purchase to get structured. We are freezing the discussions as a responsible federal government, and we will close the summer time session and we will manage ourselves.

Liberman spoke about the defeat that the coalition suffered in the Knesset yesterday on the passing of the very first reading of the invoice to increase the minimal wage to NIS 40 for each hour. “We agreed (to postpone the spending plan conversations) for the reason that the vote went versus the Committee for Legislative Issues. The defeat above the minimum wage charges was just 1 of a selection of defeats inflicted on the govt coalition in the Knesset this 7 days. It began with the failure to go the law regulating the lawful scenario for Jewish settlers in Judea and Samaria and continued with the failure to approve Matan Kahana as Minister for Religious Affairs, owing to the opposition of MK Idit Silman, the rebel Yamina MK who still left the coalition two months back and voted towards the authorities for the very first time.
