A computer running Windows 10 or Windows 8. SPS is available only in these two operating systems. An internet connection that can connect you with the server. For more details about the internet connection, see Connecting to the Internet. If you don’t have a domain name, you can create one at any time by going to Setup > Create a new site or domain. If you already have a domain name, you can log in to the SharePoint admin centre with your account and select Set up > Manage domains.
A Microsoft Office 365 subscription or a user license for Office 365 ProPlus installed on your computer. The minimum requirement is the Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, but you need to have at least one Microsoft Office 365 subscription or a user license for Office 365 ProPlus.
A SharePoint Online account that has been activated for Office 365. For more information, see Activate a SharePoint Online account. You will be asked to enter your Office 365 username and password. The SharePoint administrator account is used by the SharePoint Online service (the one that was created during the installation of SPS).
